THE PERILS OF CRUISING

The origins of this latest venture all stemmed from sheer boredom during a 24 hour ferry crossing from Santander to Portsmouth in October 2010 – an adventure some of you may have read about at http://demainonroule.blogspot.co.uk/ .

It was so boring and after two arduous weeks listening to the two cyclists I possibly switched off only to find they were hatching a master plan to have another trip with the Italian lakes as a favoured destination.  I was so impressed by their thinking, as soon as we were home I took the first positive step I could............... and sold the van – look how that worked in dropping hints as here we go again.  The only consolation I can think of – imagine what horrendous ideas they’d have dreamt up on a fortnight’s cruise!

Vince, apparently frustrated at not understanding basics where two Andy’s clearly out vote one Vince, is trying to circumvent democracy by dragging his young brother along – welcome Geoff and best of luck dealing with these two when the sprint finishes start!

So here we go again and Italian Wi-Fi permitting I hope to keep you updated on our progress.

  1. The latest Kearney only has 1/2 a vote as he's travelling on an Irish passport.......as for the sprints I know it will be "team Kearney" v the rest bring it on!!

  2. I would only expect to see Kearney junior at the front of the peleton on the downhill stages, basic laws of physics. And my money would be on the Briffed up senior to take the rest providing he can stay on
